This patch is made of an embroidery which is embroidered on a solid material and edged with an embroidered border.

The yin-yang symbol, which in Chinese Taijitu literally means "symbol of the very greatest extremity", is a sign used in Chinese Daoism and also New Confucianism for the Taiji conceived as the origin of the world. The symbol was also common among the Celts, Etruscans and Romans.

Among other things, the symbol illustrates the inextricably interwoven and mutually dependent dualities of nature which together form a perfect unity.
