Choli are usually tailored very tightly to the body shape and are belly free.

They are available in many different shapes, long or short arms, with round or pointed neck, with many different ornaments, or plain and simple.

Choli are usually closed with hooks, rarely with buttons. Very modern are stretch cholis which do without closure.
